Abe King is the acknowledged spirit behind the formation of the PBA-Legends USA Foundation. He thought about putting former players to raise funds and help the less fortunate Filipinos. In a good way for them, it was pay-back time. Indeed, their passion and fervor to help was apparent in their words and actions.
Other purposes of the organization include advancing and propagating the principles of athletics and sportsmanship, providing educational scholarships for the youth and coordinating services for the poor and underprivileged.
Council of United Filipino Orgnaizations of Tidewater (CUFOT)

The Council of United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater or CUFOT is an umbrella organization composed of several Filipino-American Associations. Their mission is to promote the Filipino culture and espouse unity among Filipino-Americans. Through its educational programs, it was able to acquire the active involvement of the youth and second-generation Filipino-Americans in learning the Filipino language and other cultural heritage like the folk dances. CUFOT also provides legal aid clinics, health screenings, and fund raising activities for Philippine-based organizations.
Filipino American Basketball Association (FABA) of Metropolitan D.C., Inc.

The Filipino american Basketball Association (FABA) of Metropolitan D.C. was launched to develop the well-being of Filipino-American youth in Metro D.C. (Maryland, Virginia and Washington d.C.). It was a project that aims to engage the youth in sports instead of on other unpleasant activities like drugs and gangs. It also instill and preserves Filipino values and culture amongst the youth. Many Filipino-American children born in the US are instinctively looking for their heritage and roots. Sports activity like basketball gives them time to bond and talk about the Philippines, Filipino traditions and way of life, and they even get to speak in Filipino. Because of its overwhelming success, the project has won the support of the parents family of the members. Thanks to FABA, the Filipino youth in America will have solid understanding of who they really are as Filipinos.
Nanay Inc.

Like the nurturing sound of their organization's name, Nanay Inc. takes care of fellow Filipinos through their active involvement in the Filipino-American community organization of the entire state of Florida. They hep moderate-income families put a roof above their heads by assisting them through counseling, education and other housing-related supportive services.
In the Philippines, they are significantly involved in projects concerning the well-being of children who are in jail with adult criminals. Nanay Inc. gives financial support to Advocates for Children and Elders (ACE) to carry out restorative and educational program for these imprisoned children.
